Ready to create together?

I'm passionate about creating compelling photographs that inspire, connect, and make a lasting impression. If you're looking for unique and contemporary yet nostalgic visuals, you're in the right place.

My ideal client not only understands, but appreciates the value of high-quality creative work.

Below is a step-by-step of how the photoshoot process works!

Step One:

First and foremost, you'll send me a message about your shoot including any and all of the details you have planned so far. If you don't have much, no need to worry! I can help you plan. Just let me know your timeline, the reason for your shoot, who's included, and any ideas you have in mind! The more info you can give me, the better!

My contact page asks for all of this and more, so head on over if you're ready to reach out!

After I receive your inquiry, if I am available and I feel like we would make a good team, I will respond with questions or options for you to look over and discuss. Once we settle on a date and package that fits your vision, I'll send you an invoice and we'll get to the nitty gritty of planning!

If I am not available to work within your timeline or I don't think I'm a great fit for your project I can recommend a photographer or two.

Step Two:

Next we'll put together a moodboard! I'm a visual person (surprise, surprise) so putting together images that reflect the vibe and aesthetic of our shoot is very important for me. I'll also have you answer a few more questions to be confident that we're on the same page. I can help out as much or as little as you need in the planning and creative direction departments as long as you are fully prepared and can clearly communicate your vision.

When we've settled on all of that, we'll go over locations, wardrobe, props, retouching, and more. Some shoots may require bringing in a team such as makeup artists, stylists, models, or whoever else we may need to bring your vision to life. If so- I have a fantastic list of vendors to pitch so we're sure to find the best people for the project.

As the shoot date approaches I will send out a schedule and/or whatever else is needed to make sure the shoot runs smoothly. Smaller shoots may not need some of these things, so I'll just confirm that you're feeling ready if that is the case.

Step Three:

The shoot! Here we meet at the agreed upon time and location. We'll take a few minutes to settle in and get comfortable in front of the camera and then we'll shoot away! I like to enjoy this part so expect to have fun and that we'll take our time. I don't price by the hour for this exact reason. The best work happens when we're able to get a good creative flow going and rushing limits that immensely. Nothing is more stressful (for me and you) than trying to squeeze everything into a limited amount of time, so I'll give you a time range to plan for before the shoot. If we finish early, great! If we take longer, it will be a good thing we planned for it!

Step Four:

After the shoot it's time for post processing. Lucky for you, you hardly have to do a thing!

For film shoots this starts with me dropping rolls off to a lab for development. Sometimes my lab will scan the film and sometimes I'll scan it myself. When the scans are finished I will go through the film and make small adjustments to lighting or color as needed.

For digital shoots, I'll begin by culling the images. This means sorting through and picking the best shots to be edited. After that I start editing by color profiling, making lighting adjustments, and more.

When I am happy with the overall look of the images I go back through and retouch blemishes and sometimes remove distracting objects. The amount of retouching will depend on the package you book. Higher-end packages will receive professional retouching for magazine-esq skin. Smaller packages may be left more natural. It's important to note that most of my portfolio has some amount of retouching done. If you're not sure what the difference is, please ask!

Finally, I go back through the finished images and look for anything I may have missed. For some shoots I will make copies of some of the images to give you black & white and color options or different crop options when more than one thing just looks too damn good.

Step Five:

Your photos have been sent! You will receive a gallery link to your email address. Here you can download your photos or purchase stunning professional prints of your favorite shots in a variety of sizes. You can send this gallery to anyone you'd like to view it and if you want to you can share the download link with them so they can save the photos too. Your gallery will be accessible for three months so you have plenty of time to save and store your photos.

From here what you do is up to you. But ideally, we start planning your next shoot at step one!
